Starter Kits

Ajax motion sensors are designed to provide smart, reliable protection by detecting movement only where it matters most. When planning your setup, it’s best to focus on vulnerable areas rather than installing a sensor in every room. Key locations include ground floor entry points such as hallways, living rooms, and spaces with doors or easily accessible windows. Installing a sensor on the main landing is also highly effective, as it can help cover access to multiple bedrooms if an intruder reaches the first floor. This targeted approach maximises protection while keeping your system efficient and cost-effective.

There are three main options to choose from depending on your security needs:

Standard motion sensor – Provides reliable movement detection, ideal for general coverage in key areas of your home.

Motion sensor with glass break detector – Detects both movement and the sound of breaking glass, offering added protection for rooms with windows or patio doors.

Motion cam sensor – Captures a series of images when movement is detected and sends them directly to your mobile app, giving you visual confirmation and useful evidence in the event of a break-in or intruder.

Motion Sensors

When planning your system, it’s important to remember that not every door and window needs a detector. Motion sensors will still pick up movement if a window is forced open and an intruder enters, so the focus should be on securing the most vulnerable access points.

Priority areas include front and rear doors, as well as any windows that are easily accessible—such as those on the ground floor or first floor that can be reached via flat roofs, extensions, or nearby structures. By concentrating on these higher-risk entry points, you can strengthen your overall security without overloading your system with unnecessary devices.

Ajax keypads provide a convenient, reliable manual point of control for your security system, offering an alternative to using the smartphone app. They are ideal for everyday use, allowing you to quickly arm or disarm your system as you enter or leave the property. Keypads also make it easy to grant access to family members, cleaners, or other trusted individuals without needing to share app access—simply assign them a unique code for secure, controlled entry.

When positioning your keypad, it’s best to install it near your main entrance for quick and easy access, while keeping it discreet enough to avoid immediate visibility from outside.

It’s especially useful for family members who prefer a straightforward solution, as well as for quickly arming or disarming the system from outside the property. The SpaceControl can also be programmed with an emergency (panic) button for added peace of mind in urgent situations.

Ajax sirens are designed to provide a powerful audible alert that deters intruders and immediately notifies occupants and neighbours of an alarm event. When planning placement, sirens should be positioned strategically rather than installed in every room, ensuring maximum coverage and impact.

External sirens are typically installed at the front or rear of the property—or both—for full perimeter visibility and deterrence. Their loud alarm sound and flashing strobe act as a clear warning that the property is protected and an intrusion has been detected. Internal sirens, on the other hand, are placed inside the home to ensure the alarm is clearly heard throughout the property. They are usually installed in central locations on both the ground and upper floors to create an even, widespread audible alert.

Ajax internal siren – Installed inside the property to produce a loud, immediate alert that can be heard throughout the home, typically positioned in central areas across both floors for balanced coverage.

When planning placement, the range extender should be positioned centrally between your hub and any devices that are furthest away—such as garden offices, garages, loft conversions, or extensions. This ensures a consistent signal and prevents any loss of communication from critical security devices.
